Mika Brzezinski, outspoken Trump-basher and co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” was visibly and verbally peeved at the President’s tweet this morning concerning New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
Here's the president's tweet, in case you missed it:
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 12, 2017
“Let’s just say it,” she began. “He’s suggesting that Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand would have sex with him in order to get campaign contributions. The president actually tweeted that this morning.”
The Washington Examiner reported that many interpreted the president’s tweets as a form of sexual harassment, specifically his suggestion that Sen. Gillibrand “would do anything” for campaign donations.
While Brzezinski displayed an unwavering belief that the president intentionally meant to sexually harass Gillibrand, who successfully pushed for the resignation of fellow Sen. Al Franken, the Washington Examiner pointed out that President Trump used similar language while suggesting that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney used to beg him for money.
“He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, 'Mitt, drop to your knees.' He would have dropped to his knees,” said then-candidate Trump in 2016.
Still, Brzezinski persisted with her tirade against the president, calling him a "sicko."
