MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tweeted Tuesday that Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is “one of the most consistent voices for human rights in the Middle East across the various governments and regimes.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

Now, just to remind, that’d be the same Ilhan Omar who recently accused Jews of paying off members of Congress for their support.

The same Ilhan Omar who was later reprimanded, however softly, by her own Democratic caucus for making anti-Semitic comments.

The same Ilhan Omar who’s called for the liberation of Palestine, which seeks the outright destruction of Israel and still pays the families of terrorists who successfully manage to kill Israelis.

She's also the same Ilhan Omar who’s drawn sympathy from well-known anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, who’s called Jews “termites” and “Satanic."

And the same Ilhan Omar who recently dubbed the terrorists responsible for murdering nearly 3,000 people on 9/11 as just “some people [who] did something.”

But sure, Chris. I’m sure all that was just in the name of “human rights.” Except for those pesky Jews, of course.
