“The media evolves, and so the Media Research Center needs to evolve with it. So we're going to go (even more) into the podcasting space. We're going to consider going international. We're going to consider getting more aggressive where digital reach is concerned and making sure that we're following some of these guys that are on the left that are having some success with their own podcasts and their own accounts and their own social media accounts,” Bozell said.
“So we'll be kind of like the Eye of Sauron watching all of it. It's not going to just be ABC, CBS, NBC all the time. So we've got to expand just as the press apparatus expands, too. So, it's going to be an exciting opportunity.”
According to David Bozell, one place the MRC “Eye of Sauron” will continue to focus is social media.
“Well, CensorTrack, that is housed within Free Speech America, is one of the best new tools that the movement has. It has tracked, I believe, last I checked the other day, over 8200 cases of censorship since it was created just a few years ago. Proving that these socials are still censoring people.
And so if you have a case that you want to put to Censor Track and they can vet it and they can add it to it, now it's more than just a tracking system, right? We want to go to these social media networks Facebook even X if we have to, Instagram, ecetera - say, look, you're censoring these folks for the wrong message for the wrong reasons, and people have a First Amendment right to their freedom of speech,” Bozell said.
“CensorTrack is an incredible tool for us that we utilize time and again,” Bozell later added.
