There was much criticism of Joe Biden when he announced that he would only nominate a black woman to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Immediately narrowing the field of candidates based on race and gender instead of focusing on their judicial record and experience, led Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to call Biden’s promise insulting to both Americans and the eventual nominee.

Now that Biden has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, what do people think of his selection process?
