MRC's Bozell: 'Conservatives Need to STOP Defending' Google

Hey, you found us! I wasn’t sure it would happen after the news broke of a Project Veritas report that Google blocked conservative sites including MRCTV from their search results.

Media Research Center (MRC) Founder and President Brent Bozell tweeted about the report, saying that “Google is being run by shady radicals behaving like FASCISTS.”

In terms of information, Google — along with most other social media companies — shouldn’t be trusted in terms of their search results or algorithms being unbiased.

Bozell had an even stronger message for his Twitter followers:

“STOP defending them.”

A-freakin-men! I’ve been telling anyone that would listen for years now that almost everything big tech companies and media do, in terms of politics, should be taken with a grain of salt.

It’s almost as if their job is to keep you uniformed.

Bozell’s tweet was accompanied by an article describing the Veritas report, published by NewsBusters — of which Bozell is the publisher.

NewsBusters Corinne Weaver reported:

A Google whistleblower, Zachary Vorhies, shared several documents with James O’Keefe and Project Veritas that were released August 14. These documents included a document with a Google Now blacklist and Google block list, and hundreds of other pages of material from internal Google memos, emails, and guidelines. This allegedly impacted the app and not all Google searches.

That block list included NewsBusters, MRCTV, Twitchy, Conservative Tribune, Front Page Mag, RedState, Christian Post, Daily Caller, and Catholic News Agency, among others[…]

These blocked sites, according to Google, “had a high user block rate.” In addition, Google Now had a blacklist that blocked certain sites completely, regardless of who blocked them or not. These included torrent sites and eBay. Vorhies told Veritas that this was a “blacklist,” which listed certain sites because of the “high user block rate.”

Will someone at Google answer this report? Honestly? It’s highly doubtful if we take into consideration Google’s past claims that they’re unbiased.

MRCTV Reader,

The media are hard at work weaving a web of confusion, misinformation, and conspiracy surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is why MRCTV, a program of the MRC, exists—to broadcast conservative values, culture, politics, expose media bias, and provide entertainment to new and diverse audiences. But we can’t do it alone. We are part of the only organization purely dedicated to this critical
