The Most Frequently Deported Illegal Alien Has Been Booted 44 Times In 15 Years

I think we’ve got ourselves a record, y’all – one illegal alien, 44 deportations, 15 years.

Nevertheless, he persisted.

According to the Washington Times, federal immigration officials said the most frequently deported illegal alien is a guy from Mexico who managed to get deported 44 times over 15 years, but somehow kept coming back -- and I'm pretty sure it wasn't to bring avocados. (This means, of course, that it’s very likely he unlawfully crossed the border more than 44 times, and that those are just the ones we know about.)

Vying for second place in the Border Olympics is a guy who’s been booted 40 times, followed by several other repeat offenders who’ve racked up at least 30 trips home. The Times notes that all are from Mexico, and had been convicted of a collective 14 crimes in the U.S.

And here's the real kicker -- while ICE was happy to give the Times this data, they said they wouldn't release the offenders' names, because a criminal who violates our laws and repeatedly invades our homeland still deserves his privacy. Or something.

We can debate all day along about a wall vs. no wall, how many border cameras we need, and whether razor wire is inhumane or necessary. We can talk about DREAMers and refugees and Nancy Pelosi’s imaginary lone toddlers dragging themselves across the Rio Grande in peak flood season (they don’t, by the way).

But we seem to have a major border security problem when an able-bodied adult male who knows darn well what he’s doing can get booted out of the country at taxpayer expense 44 times and still manage to come back like some Penicillin-resistant strain of strep throat. And considering that some go on to stab random people in the neck and kill our football players with pickup trucks, I’m suggesting that we address it.
