If you’re on Twitter or other major social media platforms, it may seem like everyone and their brother is a supporter of radical LGBTQ politics. You might not even be comfortable posting the truth that there are only two sexes because you’re wary of the LGBTQ mafia who will engage you with prejudice.

Thankfully, the real world has a funny way of revealing itself from time to time and showing that some of the most ardent social media bullies are the most puny, most pathetic kids on the playground. Granted, we would never bully those people, but we’d also never be so insecure as to be scared of them.

A recent poll shows that the vast majority of Americans actually only believe that there are two genders, not the infinite number our postmodern, Marxist social media environment has tried to hammer into our brains. Despite the noise coming from the minority, most people are still normal and, boy, is that a relief.

The Washington Examiner reported on the latest Rasmussen poll which shows that 75% of Americans know the reality that there are only two genders. In addition, the poll revealed 63% of those "strongly" agreed.

So, that’s somewhat good news. Considering all media over-represents LGBTQ characters and tropes, you’d think everyone was down with the destruction of God’s design for gender and the human family.

Though, we could also see it being horrifying that nearly a quarter of the population is down with completely denying reality. But, let’s stick with happy thoughts. At least we don’t have to feel so alone.

Rasmussen’s poll framed itself with the controversy that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has drummed up in recent years for insisting that there are only “two sexes.” Rasmussen published their findings, saying, “Transgender activists have accused J.K. Rowling of ‘hate speech’ for saying it, but most Americans agree with the Harry Potter author that there are only two genders.”

Results of the poll showed that “58% said they agree with the author, 17% called her words hate, and 25% said they weren’t sure.”

Also, 68% of people polled said that they “do not want their schoolchildren counseled on their gender identity without their consent.”

As far as how this data breaks down across political lines, Rasmussen demonstrated that 82% of Republicans believe there are only two genders and 47% of Democrats do. 60% of “unaffiliated” people believe the same, as well.

Considering Rowling has been “canceled” by social media for a while now because of these views, the results of Rasmussen’s poll should provide her some much needed support and help her continue to bravely speak the truth.
