More Illegals In Custody With Connection to CA Cop Killer – But Officials Can’t Tell ICE

An illegal immigrant from Mexico wanted for killing California police officer Ronil Singh, was captured Friday.

Gustavo Perez Arriaga, 33, was busted in Bakersfield, Calif., on suspicion of murder following a massive manhunt.

Sheriff Adam Christianson of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department told Fox News that Arriaga’s relatives and friends who are also in the U.S. illegally, tried to help Arriaga evade authorities.

“They are primarily family members and associates, all of whom were actively engaged in aiding and abetting this criminal fugitive,” Christianson said.

Even though arrests have been made of these illegal aliens, the Sheriff says he cannot communicate with ICE about their custody status.

“Based on their charges and criminal histories, we haven’t dug into all of them yet, at this point I can’t honor the detainers, because of the court’s ruling on Fourth Amendment violations, nor can I communicate with ICE about their custody status.”
