J.K. Dobbins, a star running back for Ohio State University, made waves this weekend for helping the Buckeyes dominate the Michigan Wolverines and already setting the second-highest record for rushing yards in the school’s history.

But it’s the potential Heisman Trophy candidate's personal story off the field that’s now catching some attention.

Following Dobbins’ touchdown during Saturday’s game, FOX sports announcer Gus Johnson detailed how Dobbins’ mother, pregnant at only 18, chose life for the baby who would one day become one of the best running backs in the nation.

“J.K. Dobbins’ mom, Maya, became pregnant when she was 18 years old. She went to the doctor because she was thinking about aborting the baby, but changed her mind,” Johnson explained.

"The baby turned out to be that young man, who she calls her 'miracle baby,’” he added.

But apparently, Johnson’s daring to share the story of a mother who chose life and the extraordinary child who was spared from abortion didn’t sit well with pro-abortion radicals on Twitter, who slammed the sports announcer for his “stigmatizing” comments.

Then again, it only makes sense that supporters of infanticide would be “triggered” by powerful stories of women who selflessly choose life for their babies, only for those babies to grow into talented young adults who add value to the world around them – star athlete or not.
