It's an unfortunate aspect to our society, but whenever a crisis occurs bad actors come out of the woodwork to make situations - sometimes intentionally - worse. That seems to be the case concerning the rioting and looting that have happened in Minneapolis, Minnesota following the death of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.

Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo spoke to the press on Thursday and was asked about reports of people from outside the city causing a significant portion of the damage.

"It was clear to me in hearing from our local community leaders that many of the people that were involved in the criminal contact last night [Wednesday] were not known Minneapolitans to them," Arradondo said. "And so, yes, there were certainly people who were involved in the activities last night that were certainly not recognized as being here from the city."
