If Republicans are at all concerned for the Trump/Pence ticket now that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has chosen California Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate, current Vice President Mike Pence doesn’t seem to be among them.
Pence offered a backhanded congratulations to the far-left Harris for being tapped in as Biden’s VP pick, telling a crowd of supporters Tuesday night that Harris represents the agenda of the “radical left” that runs on “higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, and abortion on demand.”
“On the way here I learned that Joe Biden named his running mate,” Pence said to a booing crowd in Mesa, Arizona.
“As you all know, Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have been overtaken by the radical left. So given their promises of higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, and abortion on demand, it's no surprise that he chose Senator Harris,” he continued. “So my message to the Democratic nominee for vice president: Congratulations. I'll see you in Salt Lake City.”
At a campaign event in Arizona, Vice Pres. Mike Pence offered his first reaction to the news that Joe Biden has selected Kamala Harris as his running mate: "Let me take this opportunity to welcome her to the race." https://t.co/c9e6nq7n4x pic.twitter.com/1HFaXsSvYY
