No charges for Trump’s campaign manager.

The decision not to prosecute Donald Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was first reported by Politico late yesterday evening. The Palm Beach County Attorney’s office had scheduled a press conference for 2 p.m. this afternoon to officially announce the decision.

Appearing on The Kelly File last night, Michelle Fields, the former Breitbart reporter who accused Lewandowski of battery after he grabbed her arm during a Trump event last month, stated she is planning to pursue a civil case against Lewandowski for defamation.

Fields' statement prompted Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, a former attorney, to post online that “[a]nyone encouraging this young woman to bring a lawsuit is irresponsible to her.”

“Yes, the burden of proof is less in a civil case, but she is just not going to win and it will be expensive and a heartache,” Van Susteren continued.

Fields fired back on Twitter, writing, “I think I’ll pass on getting legal advice from a Trump shill. Thanks tho.”

Trump and his campaign have vehemently defended Lewandowski.
