Australian Cops Arrest PREGNANT Woman Over Anti-Lockdown Facebook Post

Millions worldwide are seething over a Melbourne, Australia, police action that might prove to be the proverbial straw that breaks the authoritarian COVID camel’s back.

And it should warn Americans about the risk of their own local and state governments following the same tyrannical path.

The video -- stunning and spreading at light speed -- shows police handcuffing and arresting 28-year-old Zoe Lee, of Miner’s Rest, a suburb of Melbourne located northwest of the Victoria, Australia, city. As she earnestly asks why, one officer says it’s on charges of “incitement” for a post on Facebook expressing her support for one of a number of planned September 5 rallies calling for the end of Victoria COVID19 lockdowns.

The video of the arrest, taken by her male partner, shows masked cops moving freely about her home, being snide, and handcuffing the pajama-clad, pregnant woman in front of her other young kids about an hour before Lee was scheduled to get an ultrasound to check on the baby in her womb. And, as 7News Australia reports:

(T)he officers in the video execute a warrant, seizing computers and mobile phones, including the one that was filming the incident.

Yes. In order to protect people from the spread of a virus that has claimed under 600 people in all of Victoria (if those numbers are to be trusted), a virus that can get through the N95 masks the cops put on, the Melbourne police sent their tax-fed employees to enter a private home whether the owner welcomed them or not.

Who, exactly, is forcibly putting others at risk?

All, because Ms. Lee posted her support for people making up their own minds as to those with whom they will associate, and how. Something the government of Melbourne clearly does not comprehend.

As The Sun explains:

She was arrested after posting in a since-deleted event on Facebook called ‘Freedom Day Ballarat.’ The offending post said: ‘Anyone from Ballarat please join us in our fight for freedom and human rights!’

And that means that either the Melbourne, Victoria, government is monitoring Facebook, or that someone on Facebook, or Facebook employees, reported her evil, wicked statement in support of liberty – a statement that the cops call “incitement.”

Incitement of what? Freedom? Independent thought? Free association?

In what sphere is free association not part of the deal? Oh, yeah, that would be the forced, coercive actions of government. But perhaps such basic philosophy and logic is over the heads of these Blue Meanies Down Under.

This in Melbourne, which imposed an “everywhere” mask mandate on July 19, and has already seen a mask-free woman apparently choked and thrown to the sidewalk by a cop, another peaceful “COVID-Crackdown-breaking” woman thrown to the ground and handcuffed by cops as her daughter shot video and then was harassed by a cop to show ID, a woman record her confrontation with Dandenong, Melbourne police after they’d cited her for “no mask” even though she had a medical exemption certificate to show them on her phone, Melbourne cops arrest two “organizers of a rally” the first week of August, and arrest a British man for -- yeah, you got it – not wearing his face diaper.

Ms. Lee was released on sizeable bail, and she has been ordered to appear in court on January 22, 2021, to face these terrible charges of “incitement.”

All in an Australian state where the politicians, bureaucrats, and police appear to think so little of natural rights that they have reportedly begun spending taxpayer money on drones to keep an eye on people. All in the Australian state that, as Robert Bridge writes for The Strategic Culture Foundation, has already seen the politicians stoop to the level of imposing an avalanche of tyranny:

Despite the extremely low death rate, Melbourne residents – or shall we call them what they really are, prisoners – must adhere to the following rules:

– No traveling more than 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from their homes;

– No traveling to other states inside of the country;

– Those under house arrest are permitted to leave home for just one hour each day for exercise;

– Only one person is permitted to go shopping per family each day; shopping is to be done within 5 kilometers from home.

Incredible. Oh, wait… That’s only a portion. Bridge offers plenty more for us to see:

– Unlike traditional prisons, visitations are not permitted to house arrestees;

– All school activities are to be conducted online;

– All businesses, services and construction cancelled;

– Organized sport, forget it;

– In the case of funerals, try and delay your demise if at all possible, otherwise, expect just 10 guests;

– Ditto for weddings;

– Curfew in effect between 8 pm and 5 am.

And he concludes:

Meanwhile, as to be expected, the authorities have been enthusiastic about meting out their street justice on people who allegedly violate the regime’s rules. And not just on the street. The police have been authorized to enter private residences without a warrant.

EVERYONE – might want to spread the word about this.

The rest of the world might want to avoid following Melbourne, which, sadly, epitomizes the warning offered by one of Australia’s greatest bands, The New Christs. In one of their 1997 offerings, the band tried to metaphorically warn people not to stoop, not to lose their moral moorings. They titled the song, “Lower Yourself.

And that is precisely what people who support this kind of authoritarianism are doing. Perhaps this incident will inspire them to stop, before it's too late.
