In this week’s Wacky Moments of Leftist Extremism:
The media that once called for “resistance” told everyone to shut up and listen this week. Immediately after Joe Biden completed his speech proclaiming victory, CNN launched an ad calling for "trust" telling us that "now more than ever we need to listen."
MSNBC is in a good position to promote their proclaimed victor of the presidential election, as their paid “contributor” Jon Meacham was writing Biden’s speeches during the campaign while MSNBC was asking Meacham his opinion on them. Surprise! Meacham thought they were really good. MSNBC never felt the need to disclose that he was working for Biden, because “journalism” and “ethics” are things they avoid.
Michael Beschloss appears to be in a competition with Jon Meacham to see which MSNBC historian can say the most outrageous things. On Saturday night, Beschloss agreed with Joy Reid that Trump's defeat saved the country from fascism and was a win for democracy itself. Talking with Reid about a hypothetical where Trump won, Beschloss declared, "I think you and I would be talking about the fact that our democracy is in dire danger."
CNN and PBS don’t have ethics and manage to avoid any class or decency as well. On Thursday host Christiane Amanpour openly compared Donald Trump’s presidency to the Nazi purge of Jews on the infamous “Night of Broken Glass” in 1938, when German forces led an all-out assault against Jewish stores, homes, hospitals and synagogues and carted tens of thousands of Jewish men off to concentration camps. Using dead Jews to make a political cheap shot, pretty much captures all you need to know about CNN and PBS.
