On Wednesday, NBC’s Today show swooned over failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton living in an alternate reality where she won the election and delivered a fantasy “victory” speech. The bizarre display was actually broadcast, showing where Hillary tears up while reading from her “would have been” victory speech.
The Jussie Smollett hoax trial went to the jury on Wednesday afternoon, but you wouldn’t know it on Good Morning America. Since the start of the trial, the ABC show has offered ZERO coverage of the claims that the actor lied about a MAGA mob assaulting him. It seems as though GMA’s reporters and hosts are embarrassed of their 2019 credulous, fawning interview with Smollett. They only broke their streak of over 660 days of Smollett-free coverage, after the 5 guilty verdicts against him were announced.
NBC news and its mutated cable variants can’t even agree on just how “good” inflation is under Biden. NBC News senior business correspondent Stephanie Ruhle claimed in November that “while nobody likes to pay more, on average we have the money to do so.” This week her co-workers at CNBC hosted a discussion on how the inflation rate is hurting minorities, seniors and low-income Americans. So, which is it NBC? Can Americans afford Biden? Or no?
CNN's John Avlon joined CNN Tonight host Michael Smerconish on Tuesday for another of of his pretentious "reality check" segments. This particular instance involved using the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor to hype the possibility of a second civil war – “we find ourselves yet again in a different but just as dangerous war on truth and democracy and science." Uh-huh.
