Despite how the media may portray the situation, a full 60 percent of Americans say they approve of the way President Donald Trump is handling the national crisis over the coronavirus, while the president’s overall approval rating has returned to its previous record-high.
According to Gallup, 94 percent of Republicans and 60 percent of Independents say they president is doing a good job handling the current crisis, while just 27 percent of Democrats say the same. Overall, the president’s approval rating sits at 49 percent, up five points from earlier this month and on par with his previous highest point -- even while the media blame him for the outbreak, accuse him of racism, fault him for supposedly encouraging people to drink fish tank cleaner, accuse him of giving people "false hope," and demand he stop holding daily public briefings on the coronavirus.
Unfortunately for this same “news” media, it appears Americans aren't fans of how they’ve covered the outbreak. A Monmouth University poll released Monday revealed that fewer than half (45 percent) of Americans said the media has done a good job reporting on the crisis. Conversely, 43 percent said they’d done a poor job.
