The FBI is now investigating shots being fired into the home where a North Carolina GOP congressional candidate’s children were sleeping in mid-October - which, of course, you didn’t hear about from the leftist media because the violence wasn’t aimed at a Democrat.
The Daily Mail reports that a gunman, who hasn’t yet been publicly ID’d or caught, fired a handgun into a house owned by Republican Pat Harrigan’s relatives on October 18, the bullet narrowly missing his 3- and 5-year-old daughters as they were sleeping in their beds. Harrigan’s 74-year-old mother, Marla, said she and her husband were sitting in their living room when a bullet came flying through their laundry room window, which authorities say was fired from a wooded area behind the house. The shot entered the home just below the room where Harrigan’s two little girls were sleeping.
Harrigan, a former Green Beret who's running for North Carolina’s heavily blue 14th District congressional seat against Jeff Jackson, blasted his opponent for having filmed a campaign ad outside Harrigan’s personal home, which is located near his parents’ house. That ad aired the same day the shooting occurred.

“There are many questions that I have about you, your taxes, former home, current home, and your personal life,” Harrigan wrote in an open letter to Jackson. “But I’m never going to film an ad in front of your home, violating the sanctity and security of your family - putting their lives at risk.”
Harrigan has worn a bulletproof vest to campaign events ever since, saying he and his wife have sent his children out of state out of fear for their safety.
Interestingly, this incident occurred more than two weeks ago, but has barely made headlines - despite the fact that police have yet to find the shooter, and even though the FBI has since launched an investigation. Meanwhile, the leftist media have spent days harping on the recent attack on Paul Pelosi by a mentally ill nudist/activist illegal alien, blaming that incident on right-wing political violence.
