Even for a bunch of Biden lovers, media sycophancy this extreme should have been embarrassing. Thursday's Morning Joe absolutely slobbered over Biden's just-concluded trip. Joe Scarborough hailed it as a triumph, saying: "I can't think of a more successful diplomatic trip in the 21st century than this one." Uh, really?
When not gushing over Biden’s “dazzling” tea time in England, the media made sure success was easy to achieve. The media set the bar incredibly low for Biden’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. ABC’s Martha Raddatz admitted, “They really lowered the bar in the last few days. Anything they do, any progress they make, will be seen as a win. “ Luckily, Joe didn’t stumble up the step three times on the way to the meeting, so expectations were exceeded.
Biden actually whined that supportive liberal journalists were too “negative” and didn’t ask him any “positive” questions about his trip: “The way you all – you never ask a positive question.”
When not bust promoting leftist office holders like Biden, CNN was pushing leftist agendas. CNN host Ana Cabrera promised to continue coverage on gun control until the government takes action. “We're going to continue to report on this because it is so important, and until our leaders take action."
