The person running McDonald’s corporate Twitter called President Trump a “disgusting excuse of a President” and claimed they would prefer to have former President Obama back in the White House in a tweet published Thursday morning.
In a tweet sent out at 9:16 a.m. ET, the Twitter account McDonaldsCorp, which is allegedly used to teach people about McDonald’s corporate history, tweeted at Trump:
The tweet is real and comes from a verified account (archive link here), although it is not the general McDonald's Twitter account.
Soon after the tweet about Trump, McDonald's continued tweeting about having breakfast for dinner. So far, there has been no apology from McDonald's.
The tweet was removed by 9:35 a.m. ET, about 15 minutes after it was first posted.
