Rep. Maxine Waters has tested positive for COVID after attending President Joe Biden's international summit - Waters' second positive test this year year, and despite being extra-extra-vaccinated.

"Yesterday, after learning of a potential exposure at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, I was notified that I tested positive for COVID," the California Democrat said in a statement released Tuesday. "I am currently isolating and have no symptoms."

Waters is not only double vaccinated, she has also received two boosters against the disease. The congresswoman also tested positive in April, just two months ago. But despite having gotten four shots and contracting the disease twice, Waters still encourages those who haven't been vaccinated - and boosted - to get their jabs.

"If you haven’t received the vaccine and/or booster, I encourage you to do so," Waters added. "I am feeling fine and resting at home."

In addition to Waters, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. Health Secretary Xavier Becerra both tested positive after attending Biden's Summit of the Americas, which called together leaders of numerous countries from both the North and South American continents.
