**Warning: this story is really, really gross.
Never one to shy away from a scandal, rocker and certified “reverend” of the Church of Satan Marilyn Manson released a clip of his new music video Monday, featuring Manson ripping up a Bible and the brutal beheading of a guy who looks suspiciously like Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Manson, known for antics like burning a Bible onstage and once assaulting a security guard onstage while wearing a leather thong and pantyhose, refused to explicity confirm the victim in the video is actually Trump, telling the Daily Beast on Monday that his shockingly ISIS-like “music” video can be taken many different ways.
“Either way tomorrow goes, the visuals are meant to create contemplation. Because it’s obviously bigger than just tomorrow,” he says. “It’s about the desperate acts of people who believe something that is preached by an unbeliever.
“Right now we’re in such a state of confusion when it comes to religion, politics, sexuality, and how they all tie together, and it’s being turned into a circus and a sideshow—and that’s something that I’ve been described as a ringleader of,” Manson continues. “It seems like a time for me as an artist, and as an American artist, to make something that causes a new set of questions to arise that aren’t simply statements.”
If that statement made any sense to you at all, kudos, and lay off the drugs. What I got from it? That decapitating a presidential nominee is “art.”
