In an interview with "Inside Edition," John Franklin McGraw, of Linden, N.C., was not shy about how he would deal with the protester if they crossed paths again.

The 78-year-old McGraw said, "Yes, he deserved it. The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don't know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization."

The protester in question, Rakeem Jones, was elbowed by McGraw while being escorted out of the event by police. Jones later said that his right eye was “swollen and bruised” from the blow to the head.

Jones also added, “I was there, but it didn’t seem real.”

A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, Hope Hicks, told NBC News “we are not involved.”
