People are hailing one Texas father as a hero after he shot an armed robber in a Popeye’s Chicken.
Investigators reported that Andres Herrera, 19, initially approached Carlos Molina, 32, and demanded at gunpoint that his family hand over their possessions, according to Fox San Antonio. Molina told the robber that he had spent all of his money buying the meal for his family and asked if he and his family could leave.
The robber then pointed his gun toward the counter and yelled for the manager to stop running. Two of Molina’s family members walked out of the bathroom during the commotion, which caused the robber to point his gun in their direction.
Molina, a licensed handgun owner, then pulled out his own gun and opened fire on the robber, killing him.
Investigators believe that Molina shot the robber in defense of a third person.
Many Twitter users believed that Molina presented a great example of the "good-guy with a gun."
