Best selling patriotic rock band Madison Rising is three-quarters of the way towards achieving its funding goal with just over 36 hours left to go. The band’s project (available at http://kck.st/T1eyLt) will only be funded if at least $50,000 is pledged by 11:59pm EDT on Tuesday Sep 11th. The band is asking fans to help get them over the top in order to expedite the recording and production of their new album and the launch of a national tour.

Kickstarter, which aggregates contributions of as little as $1.00 from across the Internet, has helped revolutionize fundraising for artistic projects, musical ones in particular. But don’t think of Kickstarter contributions simply as donations – nothing could be further from the truth. Rather, Kickstarter allows fans to participate in projects they support by receiving real, tangible products such as advanced copies of CDs, dinner with the band, t-shirts, jam sessions and even private performances in exchange for their contributions.

“One of the most popular rewards we have is the $100 true friend reward,” said lead singer, Dave Bray. “People want to feel like they’re part of the band, and that’s the perfect way to make it a reality.” The reward allows a contributor to have their name or organization mentioned in the "thank you" section of the liner notes of the band’s next album, as well as and get a signed copy of the CD prior to the official release. “It also makes a great gift,” adds Bray.

Madison Rising is extremely busy these days, having performed at the 2012 Milblog Family Reunion in San Antonio, TX over Labor Day Weekend, as well as in Iowa earlier this week with former presidential contender Herman Cain. The band has two major events coming up in the next few days including a performance of its stirring rendition of the National Anthem at Dutchess Stadium in Wappinger’s Falls, NY on September 11th as well as a similar performance complete with fireworks at the legendary Charm City Music Festival in Baltimore, MD on September 15th where special military discounts are available.

Earlier this summer, Madison Rising released a widely acclaimed rock version of the Star Spangled Banner, updated with a special addendum to reflect our nation’s struggles at the dawn of the 21st century. In conjunction with that release, the band launched its One Million Star Spangled Banner Challenge (http://www.starspangledbannerchallenge.com) offering Americans a fun and meaningful way to show their patriotism by watching the band’s new video and downloading their rendition of the National Anthem to their iPods and other devices to play proudly in their cars, at the gym, at the beach or anywhere else they want. With nearly 900,000 views on YouTube, the band is well on its way to achieving the goal of one million views by Election Day (November 6th).

Madison Rising promotes the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility. Their mission is not only to make great music, but to also send a message that American culture is alive and well. Madison Rising is currently recording its second album and actively laying the groundwork for a national tour.
