The remains of Sgt. La David Johnson arrived stateside Wednesday morning in a flag-draped coffin, greeted on the tarmac by his pregnant widow and their two young children in one of the most heartbreaking and emotional scenes imaginable.
Johnson was killed when Islamic militants ambushed him and his fellow Green Berets on October 4, a tragic story that quickly turned into a political football between a Democratic congresswoman and President Trump in a game of he-said, she-said refereed by a bloodthirsty media.
Partisan tit-for-tats aside, for anyone still confused about why those of us with any decency stand for the National Anthem and don't disrespect the flag, may I present without further comment.
