How have you been holding up since the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States? Ever feel like you need a good scream? Sure, but probably not for the same reasons as these people trying to do their best Dothraki impressions.
Thousands of people across the country are apparently planning to “scream helplessly at the sky” on Wednesday in order to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Trump's election.
There are currently 19 separate Facebook event pages asking people to join in literally looking up at the sky and screaming at it. There are even a couple of event pages that call themselves “snowflakes, safe spacers and libtards.” (One would think those would be parody pages, but further digging into the people behind them shows their true radically liberal colors.)
While the sky itself must be wondering what it did to deserve this kind of abuse from people who probably need more help than just scream therapy, the sky can do what all these people do every day of their miserable lives — blame Trump for all their failures as human beings.
I’m sorry — not really — but if I went outside, looked at the sky and began screaming at it, someone would call the police and I would be taken in for a psychiatric evaluation. However, screaming aimlessly at the sky to protest Trump sounds perfectly reasonable — even if you’re hundreds of miles away from the subject supposedly driving you to act like a wild banshee.
Some of the Facebook event pages don’t even have a designated place other than the city the person who posted the page emirates from. One page even lists its location as “Everywhere.”
Some of these protesters are apparently so lazy they can’t choose a specific place to screech from.
