As Lockdown Politicians Gaslight, Many Americans See Trucker Demonstrations As Freedom Movements

Around the world, people who believe in freedom of association are rising to rally for their rights, encouraged, in no small measure, by hundreds of thousands of truckers and dedicated supporters demonstrating against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s mRNA jab mandate for commercial shippers crossing into that nation.

Like Joe Biden’s January 22 mandate for incoming commercial truckers and sea-faring shippers (and remember, COVID19 was such an immediate danger, they announced the mandates weeks prior to actually imposing them), Trudeau, who imposed his on January 15, has not backed down.

Instead, he has DOUBLED-DOWN on his idiotic rhetoric, February 11 claiming, get this:

They are endangering jobs.

Does he mean the jobs in businesses that no longer exist because of HIS lockdowns and restrictions, the lockdowns and restrictions imposed in provinces all over Canada? The trucking jobs he nullified through the aggressive threat of government violence against peaceful truckers who simply want to be left alone?

They are threats to our economy.

Does he mean the economy that his edicts decimated? The supply chain HE is restricting, just like Joe Biden?

This is the epitome of gaslighting. Trudeau, the man operating in complete contravention to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, could star as the abusive husband in the stage play, "Gaslighting", and the people he’s shut down and threatened could, in turn, play the abused and demonized spouse.

And we who watch it all are like the detective played by Joseph Cotton in the classic 1944 film, as we watch, and see quite clearly who is flipping narratives – the bloviating evil political figure who is accusing others of doing evil.

And this man has the gall to tell demonstrators that they are, in his words, "breaking laws.”

His are the self-indicting words of a man who, like most involved in politics, does not understand the distinction between law and statute. As the great 19th Century French economist and philosopher Frederic Bastiat noted in his trenchant essay, “The Law,” statute is something artificially created by the gang of thugs taking people’s money and claiming a monopoly on the use of aggressive violence -- the gang populating the offices of The State.

REAL “Law” pertains to Natural Law, the God-given, peace-promoting, set of rights that all individuals retain. They center on people leaving each other to be uncoerced, untrammeled, and not threatened. They are negative in nature, meaning no one has a “posited” – made up – claim on another person to expend energy on his behalf. As an entity that only can exist by threatening and demanding things from people, the state always exists counter to Natural Law.

Mr. Trudeau is on the wrong side of The Law, and the wrong side of history.

Likewise, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has embraced a similar mentality, and continues to spout enough verbal offal to fertilize her entire state.

This woman, who not only had the audacity to mandate masks, and shut down businesses to such an extent that she even got the cops to go after an elderly barber, found it in her heart to – shocker – attack the freedom demonstrators along the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

On February 10, the Monarch of Michigan took to Twitter, saying, in part:

The blockade is having a significant impact on Michigan’s working families who are just trying to do their jobs. Our communities and automotive, manufacturing, and agriculture businesses are feeling the effects. It’s hitting paychecks and production lines. That is unacceptable…

All of which, as everyone with eyes knows, actually applies to her and the very diktats SHE imposed and continued to try to impose even after court rulings told her to stop – even as she EVADED HER OWN ORDERS.

For two years, I and others have tried to stress the importance of freedom of association and private property as the keys that matter and that supersede the fraudulent claims of politicians like Whitmer and Trudeau to say they can block free will, voluntary meetings, and the decisions of property owners to open or close the doors to their own establishments. These politicians have attacked the concept of individual autonomy, threatened punishments against people who simply offer to do business with others, and set kidnapper-like agents of the state on CHURCHGOERS to stop them from congregating and take them away to jail if they resist.

And they have the gall to accuse those wanting release of being the ones harming the economy.

But, in that darkness, light is beginning to shine. Not only have the political heads of Alberta and Saskatchewan provinces announced the end of their jab “passport” mandates and the start of re-openings, in the US, some of the most despotic political figures – people such as New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and NY Governor Kathy Hochul have begun to pull back their authoritarian edicts. They also are engaging in the “Great Pivot,” trying to claim that, suddenly, in the course of mere days, the dangers they kept repeating to us and the scary numbers the government pulled out of thin air, suddenly don’t matter, and their “mitigation efforts” have succeeded at making life utopian and fine.

Incredible doesn’t even describe it. And the motivation appears to be their worry that people are pushing back.

Indeed, as the truckers in Canada and their vast number of supporters show the strength of people who want to be left alone, many people either are emerging as long-time dedicated friends of freedom who are working harder than ever for the liberty cause, or are folks who never were too involved, but are beginning to recognize the deep importance of this struggle.

One of the long-time backers of liberty is well known actor Rick Schroder, who recently released a video encouraging all of us who are locked in the freedom struggle of our lifetime.

I think we see what we're facing here. It's an evil that is trying to be forced upon our children, upon us. God bless the Canadian truckers and the Canadian cowboys up there on the border.

Spot on. And he added:

I heard a great potential event's gonna happen for us with our (US) truckers. [They're] gonna maybe start mobilizing and doing what we need to do, which is shut down D.C., shut down Sacramento, shut down Albany, shut down these states and this capital until we root out this evil that was almost perpetrated on us. We were so asleep.

But we do have to root this out, We can't just turn a blind eye to it. These people must be held accountable for what they've attempted to do, or there will be no peace and there will be no justice.

And Schroder concluded:

So God bless the United States, God bless all of you who are fighting and resisting, God bless those who are waking up to what the true intent was behind this.

Likewise, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul (R) is calling for resistance in the US. Even comedian and left-leaning talk host Bill Maher is backing the non-violence of non-compliance that the truckers practice.

The political python has been squeezing for more than two years. This is a problem that digs much deeper into US history, but now is our time, our time to stop the tyrants and begin educating others about state nullification of bad federal precedent, local nullification, and personal resistance. We can teach others about what the Bill of Rights is supposed to protect and about the enumerated “powers” of the Constitution, and we can dig deeper, to teach others about the difference between statute, and law.

The law – Natural Law – demands it.
