I challenge you to find a more absurd video today. Basically what you see here is a group of liberals screaming on the street outside of a Chipotle in DC because they don't like the way some of the former employees were let go. Check it out and see if you can figure out exactly why these former employees were let go.
They don't quite articulate that part very well do the? In fact they seem to imply that the employees have no idea why they were let go. Of course, the DCist tells a bit of a different story:
Several dozen protesters -- standing alongside D.C. Councilmembers, lawyers and local labor leaders -- chanted "Chipotle, listen up, we're not done fighting," outside the chain's Columbia Heights location yesterday. It was one of the vocal components of a demonstration protesting the recent firing of approximately 40 workers from the chain's D.C. locations without notice. On March 9, the affected workers claim, a dozen employees at the Columbia Heights, Woodley Park and Chinatown branches were let go due to discrepancies in their employment authorization documents. (The burrito chain had previously taken similar action in Minnesota due to an audit required by U.S. immigration authorities.)
Now the whole situation is a bit clearer, no? These former employees are all illegal immigrants and therefor can't be legally employed by Chipotle. Well that makes all of their demands and whining all the more asinine, doesn't it? I mean these illegal immigrants went and lied to Chipotle in order to get hired. Then Chipotle eventually figured out they were lied to and let these people go as they had to by law. Now these illegal aliens, along with their liberal idiot enablers, are demand that Chipotle apologize to them and give them two weeks of pay for some reason. Give me a freaking break.
