California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell took a few minutes off from threatening to jail law-abiding gun owners to call for Attorney General Bill Barr’s resignation Thursday, following a press briefing in which Barr reiterated Robert Mueller’s findings that President Trump did not, in fact, collude with Russia to undermine the 2016 presidential election.
Despite the facts listed in the 400-page report released Thursday, which concluded that no one in the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians to rig the election against Hillary Clinton, Swalwell immediately targeted Barr as a “defense attorney” for Trump
Russia attacked us. The #MuellerReport details a multiplicity of contacts b/w Russia & @realDonaldTrump’s team and that Trump & his team “materially impaired” the investigation. Yet, OUR Attorney General acts as Trump’s defense attorney. He can’t represent both. Barr must resign.

While Barr did nothing but restate Mueller's findings in the report, it appears the left has no problem shooting the messenger, with many liberal pundits accusing Barr of somehow "covering" for the president - despite the fact that he voluntarily released the Mueller report to the public for everyone to see, which Swalwell himself had previously demanded.
