What was an uneventful first 20 to 30 minutes of the speech turned drastically into nasty partisan politics. A more than contentious moment occurred during Tuesday evening's State of the Union address when President Joe Biden falsely claimed that Republicans want to end Medicare and Social Security as part of debt ceiling negotiations.
Some of my Republican friends want to take the economy hostage. I get it, unless I agree to their economic plans. All of you at home should know what those plans are. Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset. I'm not saying it's a majority of...[boos and jeers]

"You lie! You lie," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) yelled out. "Liar!"
The only thing possibly "sunsetting" is Biden.
