I’m just going to flat-out say it -- CNN is devoid of anything resembling class and has gone the way of the tabloid press. CNN host and commentator Don Lemon has essentially become the clown prince of smear tactics, slicing and dicing his way through anyone with the slightest connection to the Trump administration.
All I’ll say is that Lemon should be ashamed of himself, and CNN should finally admit what they truly are — the mouthpiece for the far-Left.
Lemon was asked his opinion on the meeting between hip-hop mogul Kanye West and President Trump on Thursday, and he went about as far down as one can get in attempting to smear another man’s reputation, invoking West’s mother in order to downplay the overhyped meeting.
“This is an embarrassment,” Lemon said. “Kanye’s mother is rolling over in her grave.”
You can’t see it, but I’m shaking my head in disgust right now.
Lemon didn’t stop there, however. He blathered on about a recent text message conversation he had with an old friend of West’s deceased mother to get an opinion of what the friend would’ve thought about her son’s “actions.”
Here’s what Lemon said concerning West’s mother’s alleged friend:
I spoke to one of her friends today, or texted with one of her friends today from Chicago, Donda’s friends, I used to live there, I know ’em. She said, ‘Donda would be embarrassed by this. She would be terribly disturbed by this.’ And Kanye has not been the same since his mother died. He kept talking today about ‘Oh, I put the hat on and the hat made me feel strong and wearing a cape’–he needs a father figure.
Lemon seems to have no depth to his level of motive to defame West. He mentioned a couple of times of how he doesn’t hold any ill will towards West, which he used to justify his smear of the rapper.
Lemon said so many disparaging things about West, during what essentially became a monologue, saying West needs mental help and needs to go away.

It would be one thing if Lemon’s comments were based on pretty much anything other than political bias. But, that’s not what happened here. Lemon, through a heavy veil of a sympathetic tone towards West, used a man’s dead mother to conduct a heavily political hit job.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but if some televised talking head invoked my mother to defame me, I’d march straight down to CNN and ask Lemon what he had to say now that I was actually there for him to say what he thinks is clever.
CNN, and now Don Lemon as well, are literally the worst.
