Having already been the subject of her own comic book, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now getting her own action figure.
Yes. An action figure.
According to The Hill, FCTRY, a company known for making action figures inspired by political figures including California Sen. Kamala Harris and Robert Mueller, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their new AOC doll.
“We've got a pretty good track record of spotting real-life heroes in the making and from where we sit, AOC has the makings of a legend. So we're doing what we do best and turning her into an action figure,” FCTRY says in their campaign pitch.
FCTRY CEO Jason Feinberg said in a statement that AOC "went from bartending and waiting tables to becoming one of the most influential politicians of our time, all in the span of three years.”
“Adding her to our collection of political action figures was a no-brainer,” he added. “AOC is the face of the future.”
"If this project gets funded, we plan to align AOC's figure with the Sunrise Movement—a grassroots organization that works alongside the real AOC, championing the Green New Deal," the toy company adds.
According to the campaign, the doll will cost $20 – however, progressives struggling to pay their own student loans and rent can also fork over $40 for an AOC and Bernie Sanders combo.
But wait – unlike the paychecks of a socialist society, there’s more! For a full $100, FCTRY will throw in figurines of 2020 presidential candidates Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, along with SCOTUS Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and for President Barack Obama.
Like, socialism, however, the company adds that “delivery dates are not guaranteed,” adding, “We do our very best to deliver on time (or better), but product development is not a science and delays here and there may arise from unexpected causes.”
