Leftists Suggests SCOTUS Pick Amy Coney Barrett Is a 'White Colonizer' For Adopting Two Black Children

Amy Coney Barrett hadn’t yet been officially picked as President Donald Trump’s SCOTUS nominee, and the left’s knives were already out to carve apart her reputation as a "handmaid" who wants to set women's rights back 75 years – starting, apparently, with her family’s willingness to open up their home to two adopted children from Haiti.

Children who, as it doesn’t matter to the Barretts but clearly does matter to racist liberals, are black.

Ibram X. Kendi, Boston University’s recently hired director of the Center for Antiracist Research (of all things), compared Barrett to a “white colonizer” who deliberately adopted black children to “civilize them.”

“Some White colonizers ‘adopted’ Black children. They ‘civilized’ these ‘savage’ children in the ‘superior’ ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity,” Kendi tweeted Saturday.

“Whether this is Barrett or not is not the point. It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can't be racist,” Kendi continued.

Barrett, an open pro-life Catholic and the mother of seven children – including the two she adopted as well as a child with Down syndrome – was also questioned by so-called feminist liberals for being both a mom and a successful professional, a combo that only becomes questionable when a woman commits the unforgivable act of being both a conservative and being nominated to the highest court in the land.

“I guess one of the things I don't understand about Amy Comey Barrett is how a potential Supreme Court justice can also be a loving, present mom to seven kids? Is this like the Kardashians stuffing nannies in the closet and pretending they've drawn their own baths for their kids,” columnist  Vanessa Grigoriadis mused, apparently wondering why we can’t all go back to the 1950s when women couldn’t work outside the home.

“And if there aren't enough hours in the day for her to work and mother those kids, when she portrays herself as a home-centered Catholic who puts family over career, isn't she telling a lie?” Grigoriadis continued.

Of course, one can only wonder where these anti-white, anti-working mother sentiments were over high-profile celebs who routinely adopt black children while engaged in high-stress careers – women like, say, pop star Madonna, who has taken in multiple black children from other countries and likely never drawn anyone a bath in her entire life.

Then again, she was threatening to blow up the White House with Trump in it, so a different set of rules must apply.
