There’s nothing the left loves more than a good mob. That’s why when the LA City Council approved an ordinance banning homeless encampments within 500 feet of schools, they were quick to storm the City Hall and cause a needless ruckus, as this Tweet from Los Angeles Community Action Network shows the mob descending on the meeting August 2.
Take a look:

If this is what democracy looks like, I don’t want it. I preferred federal republics anyway, like the one we have in these United States.
The law passed, according to FOX, 11 to 3 in the LA City Council. The Municipal Code 41.18 explicitly states that it is prohibited to, “sit, lie, sleep, or store, use, maintain, or place personal property, in or upon any street, sidewalk, or other public right-of-way within the distance stated on the posted signage (up to a maximum of 500 feet) of a property designated as a sensitive use.”

Property that LA defines as “sensitive use” includes, “School, Day Care Center, Public Park, or Public Library, as those terms are defined in Section 105.01 of this Code.”
So it’s against the law to have massive homeless encampments next to places where innocent children are, encampments notorious for high criminality and drug use. What’s the problem?
Well, the left seems to want your kids to be chummy with the local crackheads. What seems like a perfectly reasonable law is racist and discriminatory to the left. That begs the question: why does the left want homeless encampments around schools?
I’m afraid we might never get a straight answer, not with this mob anyway.
