Politicians continued to negotiate the debt ceiling this week but still have not reached a consensus. CNN This Morning anchors and correspondents believe the discussion surrounding the debt ceiling is unnecessary and called Republicans’ efforts to curb America’s spending an “irrational fight” concluding the U.S. can borrow however much money it wants to pay for whatever it wants.
The View’s Whoopi Goldberg has used her platform to push some pretty wild conspiracy theories. On Wednesday she popped off with a particularly loopy one, accusing Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of using a body double in a campaign teaser video. Whoopi claims even she could be a DeSantis body double.

On Thursday night’s edition of MSNBC’s The ReidOut, host Joy Reid opened by doing what she does best: lying about and smearing conservatives. This time, Reid decided to deceptively edit Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s comments on Fox News to make it seem like she was hoping for a default to help GOP chances in November 2024.
