Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Joe Lombardo gave a briefing on the ongoing investigation into the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, that left 59 people dead, 515 injured.

Lombardo said that they have identified all but three victims.

He advised people to continue to avoid the area near Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, still considered an active crime scene as the FBI is working on documenting and clearing the scene.

The sheriff said that he anticipates the entire Las Vegas strip to be open within a few hours.

Lombardo said that the ATF is evaluating modifications made to guns found inside suspect Stephen Paddock’s hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

He confirmed reports of cameras inside and outside of the room, but it is still being evaluated what those cameras were being used for.

Lombardo said he did not have any information on the shooter’s motive.

As to Paddock’s live-in girlfriend Marilou Danley, she was found in the Philippines and remains a person of interest.

The sheriff would not comment on reports that Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines last week.

He said that the investigation is ongoing and therefore he cannot provide many of the details the press has asked for.

Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak at the briefing discussed how a GoFundMe page for Las Vegas victims and their families has now exceeded 53,000 individual donations totaling more than $3.7 million.

MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino contributed $3 million to the fund.
