In the United States in 2023, you’re never sure what you’re gonna see - and yet, the sights, however unsurprising, never cease to amaze.
A local news clip is going viral on social media after FOX5 in Las Vegas ran a quick piece about an apartment complex that’s experienced at least two power outages due to thieves cutting through the building’s electrical wiring to steal the copper. But while lifting copper isn't new - the metal has a high scrap value and is often stolen from public buildings, housing units and construction sites - it wasn’t the theft that caught people’s eye.
Here’s the clip - you can figure it out for yourself.
"Y'ALL NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!" Some residents at a Las Vegas apartment complex are incredibly frustrated after they were left without power for a second time due to thieves once again stealing the copper wires. @KimPassoth shares more.

Taleh Fire, “a.k.a. ‘Hood Barbie,’ explained he’s really upset that he couldn’t do his hair and makeup in his apartment because the electricity had been cut off, blaming “homeless people” for stealing the metal to “make they money.” He also demanded the building’s management do something about the ongoing thefts to keep it from happening again - although it was a little hard to hear over the click-clacking of his foot-long nails while staring at the face tattoos. Granted, it's Vegas...but still.

FOX5’s Jaclyn Schultz told Twitter commenters that the news channel’s cameraman tried to interview other people outside the building, but that “Hood Barbie” here was the only one willing to be interviewed.
Well... our camera guy was trying to ask people to speak, and it was super cold and no one would speak to him. Taleah came up to us and shared more on the situation-- with style.
