KISS star Gene Simmons said bands who don't play Israel are "fools" and noted the "countries they should be boycotting are the same countries their populations are rebelling against." This was a shot against acts such as The Pixies and Elvis Costello for their refusal to play in Israel. This a direct protest by the musicians for what they see as the 'states treatment of the Palestinian people'. As noted in the video, Simmons --who was born in Israel-- considers himself an Israeli and an outsider in America.
