And another one bites the dust.

OK, so that’s the wrong lyric attributed to the wrong band - but you have to admit, when it comes to celebs backing down in the face of the woke mob, all the cowards start to look the same.

Kiss rocker Paul Stanley made waves earlier this week for taking a bold stance against the “sad and dangerous fad” of parents who encourage their kids to “transition” genders, writing on Twitter that "There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it.”

The Starchild added that kids who don’t conform to stereotypical gender roles aren’t necessarily “trans,” and that “With many children who have no real sense of sexuality or sexual experiences caught up in the ‘fun’ of using pronouns and saying what they identify as, some adults mistakenly confuse teaching acceptance with normalizing and encouraging a situation that has been a struggle for those truly affected and have turned it into a sad and dangerous fad.”

Naturally, a statement that would have once been considered simple common sense sparked outrage among leftists, who believe pumping confused adolescents full of artificial hormones and cutting off their healthy body parts is a noble pursuit. Stanley quickly found himself on the business end of a social media gun fueled by other high-profile celebs, media outlets, and average keyboard warriors incensed that someone with a large platform would dare call out the insanity of their gender war on kids.

And so, as is so often the case, he caved.

In a brief statement walking back his earlier comments, Stanley wrote, “While my thoughts were clear, my words clearly were not. Most importantly and above all else, I support those struggling with their sexual identity while enduring constant hostility and those whose path leads them to reassignment surgery. It’s hard to fathom the kind of conviction that one must feel to take those steps. A paragraph or two will remain far too short to fully convey my thoughts or point of view so I will leave that for another time and place.”

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised - after all, Stanley here is hardly the first to lose a healthy pair of cajones to the left’s gender mob.

Here’s a word to the wise: if you’re going to wade into the choppy waters of the left’s latest social crusade, make sure you know how to swim. Otherwise, leave it to those of us who aren't afraid of making a few waves.
