Host Jimmy Kimmel opened the Academy Awards on Sunday by naming the reasons why “Oscar” is the “most beloved and respected man in Hollywood.”

"And there's a very good reason why," he said. "Just look at him. Keeps his hands where you can see them. Never says a rude word. And most importantly, no penis at all."

Kimmel continued, "He is literally a statue of limitations. And that's the kind of men we need more of in this town.”

“Here's how clueless Hollywood is about women. We made a movie called ‘What Women Want’ and it starred Mel Gibson. Kind of all you need to know,” he joked.

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host went on to mock fallen movie mogul Harvey Weinstein for being expelled from the Academy Awards, saying what’s happening to him and other sexual predators is “long overdue.”

But his somber tone didn’t last long.

“We need to set an example,” said Kimmel. “And the truth is, if we are successful here, if we can work together to stop sexual harassment in the workplace, if we can do that, women will only have to deal with harassment all the time at every other place they go.”

He praised the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, calling them “positive change.”

He also praised the success of movies “Black Panther” and “Wonder Woman” as examples of the changing times.

As to be expected, "America's conscience" took shots at President Trump.

Right off the bat, Kimmel joked that Trump was tweeting Sunday night from a gold toilet. He added that the President very much liked the first three quarters of the movie “Get Out.”
