Kimmel Calls Trump an 'Abusive Orange Stepfather'

Judging by this, at least we now know why daily blowhard and late-night host Jimmy Kimmel just won’t shut up.

Kimmel appeared at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. Sunday evening to pay his respects to former late-night host, and yes, also a daily blowhard, David Letterman as he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Kimmel actually attempted to be funny by blaming Letterman for the void he created in the late-night world after his departure from late-night television. As if there were ever a void.

Here’s what Kimmel had to say:

When Dave left 17 long months ago, we had no idea how much trouble we were in. I look at what’s going on now, and I think this is your fault. All of it. Everything was fine until you went off the air. You abandoned us. You went out for a pack of cigarettes and left us to live with an abusive orange stepfather.

You led the way for all of us with your intelligence, humor and empathy, especially since November, when we kicked open the portal to hell.

Kimmel was obviously referring to President Trump. But no one should really be surprised by this, since Kimmel’s bashing of Trump -- and anything not completely left-of-center -- is the only way Kimmel truly gets ratings anymore. Because God knows it's not through his comedy skills.

At least now we know why Kimmel has radically steered away from comedy and run toward an uninformed political ideologue. He apparently feels as if he is filling the shoes of Letterman in promoting a radically-left ideology with a thin candy-coating of "comedy" occasionally covering it up.
