Kim Kardashian West: ‘I Have Nothing Bad to Say About the President’

Hollywood must be reeling.

In an appearance on the late-night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Kim Kardashian West was pressed by host Jimmy Kimmel to talk negatively about President Trump.

West, who in June met with Trump in the Oval Office and convinced him to commute the prison sentence of Alice Johnson, a nonviolent drug offender, pushed back against Kimmel’s prodding and said that she had “nothing bad to say about the president.”

Kimmel began the interview by asking West about her experience in the Oval Office and joked that it was probably “the happiest day of [Trump’s] presidency.”

Kim replied by saying that she was “very grateful” and “hopeful that more good things are going to come out of our conversations.”

Kimmel tried again to get her to say something derogatory about the President, asking if she had “a list now of people that you might ask him to release from prison,” and if First Lady Melania Trump is on it.

“I love Melania,” West replied.

“I know … we love Melania. She needs to be free,” Kimmel said, laughing.

When pressed on whether she and her husband Kanye fight or debate over his support for the President, West replied, “No.”

“I always respect what another person thinks,” she said.

She added that Kanye “doesn’t necessarily agree with the policies” of the Trump administration but he does like President Trump’s "personality and how he made it to be president when everyone really underestimated him.”

She also said that she may not agree with the president on everything, either, but has “nothing bad to say about the president.”

Sorry, Kimmel. Nice try, though.
