When you have an activist as the mayor of a major city, don’t be surprised when the actions — or lack-thereof — of said mayor seem to be of indifference towards far-left extremist groups, like Antifa. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler is just such a mayor. So it’s completely justified when another public figure calls out Wheeler for finally denouncing the riots that he allowed to plague his city.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany joined “Fox & Friends” on Monday and spoke about the crime and violence that took shape in cities across the U.S. in the form of looting and rioting.

McEnany was asked what President Donald Trump is doing about the unrest in U.S. cities. After giving a brief synopsis of what Trump has done so far, McEnany turned her focus toward the far-left radical Wheeler.

“But what has been so interesting to see there is finally, it took 70 nights, but finally you have the liberal Portland Mayor Wheeler saying that if you lock police officers in a building, intend to trap them in there, use an accelerant to commit arson, you are committing attempted murder, not demonstrating,” McEnany said. “It’s completely reckless that it took a full 70 days for the liberal mayor to finally acknowledge that that’s an unacceptable status quo, and these aren’t just peaceful demonstrations as he tried to show wrongheadedly when he walked among these rioters.”

Some might say that McEnany was being too kind in referring to Wheeler as a “liberal,” when his actions and inactions have proven him far further to the left than that.
