Kathy Griffin Says She Shouldn't Have to Apologize to Trump, Because He Likes Nazis. Or Something.

Ugh, Kathy Griffin. That’s all one can say about someone who makes Amy Schumer seem funny. Then again, that's only when you’re talking about Griffin -- her actual comedy sucks eggs.

In a recently published interview with New York Magazine’s “The Cut” discussing the whole President Trump/severed head kerfuffle, Griffin put on her fake big girl pants and attempted to sound brave.

“Why are people still expecting me to apologize and grovel to a man that tweets like this?” Griffin said in the interview. “I’m a comedian; he’s our f*cking president.”

Come on, Kathy. You’re barely a comedian. You're like a poor woman’s Joan Rivers without the talent.

Besides, didn't Griffin already apologize back in May? Yes, she did, but there’s a twist to Griffin’s clearly fake apology. Kinda-comedian Rosie O’Donnell convinced her to do it. Griffin, for her part, didn’t think she did anything wrong.

According to the interview:

It was a call from Rosie O’Donnell that made Griffin realize the mistake she had made. O’Donnell arguably has had more ire directed at her from Trump than any other celebrity, but she confirmed to me that she asked Griffin a simple question: “What is James Foley’s mom going to think when she sees this?” Foley, an American journalist, was beheaded by ISIS in 2014 while on assignment in Syria.

Griffin had plenty more to say — when does she not? — about President Trump and the “atrocities” that Griffin claims he’s committing.

“He [Trump] said there are some good Nazis,” Griffin said, “and he’s kicking out young adults who were brought here as kids by their parents, and I’m the one who has to continue to apologize?”

Okay, can anyone please update me on when Trump said that “there are some good Nazis”? Do a quick Google search for that alleged Trump quote, and all that comes up for the first two pages is Griffin insinuating that Trump said there were “good Nazis.” Try to find it. I'll wait.

Also, who’s asking Griffin to apologize again? The only thing most people have been asking is for Griffin to simply go away back to her spot on the D-list.

Griffin didn’t have anything to say about the press conference she held a few days after the Trump decapitation photo was released in which she attempted to play the victim. Her ploy to invoke sympathy fell on deaf ears as people saw right through her crocodile tears.

“Comedians talk about what their audience is faced with every day, we try to relate to our audience,” Griffin stated. “I’m obsessed with politics. I always have been, and now, with Trump, many people are obsessed with politics, so that’s going to be a big part of my act.”

Griffin might be obsessed with politics, but it’s very apparent that she’s not that good at understanding it.
