BRB, adding Kanye West’s music to my daily mix.
Ye has been trending as of late but not just for his music. The 45-year-old rapper sat down with Fox News on the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show on Thursday, where he professed his pro-life, pro-God, pro-Trump views and more.
The interview comes just days after "Ye" received massive blowback over his controversial “White Lives Matter” shirt design that he presented at Paris Fashion Week, and in a photo with Conservative Candice Owens. Tucker asked the rapper about the pushback during their interview.
“As an artist, you don’t have to give an explanation but as a leader you do,” Ye said, after quoting his own father’s reaction to the shirt which was “Just a black man stating the obvious."
“The answer to why I wrote ‘White Lives Matter’ on a shirt is because they do. It’s the obvious thing,” Ye admitted. “The same people that have stripped us of our identity and labeled us as a color, told us what it means to be black and the vernacular that we’re supposed to have.”

During the interview, Ye was also wearing a lanyard with a sonogram on it. He told Tucker that it was to show that he was pro-life.
“It just represents life. I’m pro-life,” Ye told Tucker.
Given that Ye literally wears his pro-life stance on a “badge,” one would expect a significant amount of pushback from today’s anti-life society. But, Ye couldn’t care less.
“I don’t care about people’s responses. I care about the fact that there’s more black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point — that 50 percent of black death in America is abortion," he said. "So, I really don’t care about people’s response. I perform for an audience of one and that’s God.”
This was truly shocking to hear. It’s so rare to see a celebrity so openly honor not only the Lord, but the sanctity of life.
Tucker asked what sparked Ye’s desire to speak out about causes that most of Silicon Valley dismisses.
“I think I started to really feel this need to express myself on another level when Trump was running for office and I liked him,” Ye admitted.
Ye also said that many of his “friends” (including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, his former mother-in-law, and manager at the time) warned him that supporting Trump would ruin not only his career but his life. “They basically said that I would be killed for wearing the hat,” he confessed. Ye is referring to the iconic Make America Great Again.
Again, Ye is unphased and to put it simply, just wants to honor God.
“God builts warriors in a different way … He made me for such a time like this.” Then Ye brought up the story of David and Golioth likening himself to David as they both “have God on our side.”
“Even if you don’t believe in God, God believes in you," he said.
Welcome to the pro-life, God fearing movement Mr. West. We’re glad you’re here.
