If you didn’t think the callous partisans at MSNBC could stoop any lower, they were just pressured to change a headline they'd published that sympathized with a murderous rapist.

Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan gang member, crossed into the U.S. illegally in 2022. Reportedly with the help of our taxpayer money, the Biden administration flew him to Georgia, where he later hunted down 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley while she was out for a morning jog. Ibarra then attempted to rape Riley before bludgeoning her to death with a rock. Police say the attack was so brutal, Riley’s skull was left “disfigured” from the trauma, as MRCTV previously reported.

The gang rapist was finally sentenced to life in prison without parole this week after being found guilty on all charges. But according to MS-DNC, Riley’s killer was just a poor victim who “never stood a chance.”

“Hey MSNBC, you know who also never stood a chance?” asked the X page, “Defiant L’s.”

“Laken Riley. Laken Riley should be alive today. But she never stood a chance because of this monster,” the page, with over 1 million followers emphasized.

The rest of the internet rightfully chimed in, including Donald Trump Jr. who blasted the “news” outlet for reaching a “level of depravity” that “you can’t make up.”

“He’s an illegal alien that killed an innocent young woman but MSNBC would rather go to bat for him. However much you hate MSNBC, it's not enough!” continued Trump Jr.

A contributing editor for The Spectator, Stephen L. Miller branded this as the reason why “MSNBC, the brand, is being sold off for pennies.”

To be fair, the article itself pointed out that the evidence against Ibarra was so overwhelming, there's no way the defense could have stopped the prosecution from getting a conviction. But given MSNBC's open support of open-border policies and habit of painting swarms of illegal aliens - including known violent criminals - pouring into the country as helpless victims while defending sanctuary cities that protect convicted criminal aliens from deportation, assuming their sympathy for a violent criminal rapist and murderer isn't much of a stretch.

After deciding they were being dragged enough on social media, MSNBC figured they could quickly change the headline under our noses.

“The guilt of Laken Riley's killer was never in doubt,” their headline now reads.

But it’s too late.

“People now know how cold @MSNBC is, they can change the story but can't take back what they did.” wrote another user with a large following.

But many, including our team at the Media Research Center already knew how unserious MSNBC and their “coverage” is. We’ve been calling them out for years.
