AOC Flips Script, Insists Kamala 'EARNED' Her Nomination on Colbert Show

Left-wing darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) insisted Vice President Kamala Harris “earned” her party’s nomination for U.S. President - after originally saying Democrats don’t want her.

“Have you ever been happier to be wrong?” Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked AOC during an interview on Thursday night’s wrap-up of the Democratic National Convention.

“ECSTATIC, ECSTATIC, ECSTATIC,” she responded.

This is quite the shift from the warning she had originally given to her followers just last month.

“If you think that there is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave that they will support Vice President Harris, you would be mistaken,” AOC told her audience in an Instagram live-stream, July 19.  She promised that if her Democrat colleagues are “not going to be fully honest” about their objection to replacing Biden with Harris, she’s “going to be honest for them.”

That “honesty” lasted for about two days, until President Joe Biden dropped his bid for re-election and endorsed Harris to run instead. AOC immediately changed her tune:

AOC conveniently joined the Kamala bandwagon just in time to be embraced by her party’s establishment and grab a major speaking slot on the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

Now, she’s telling Colbert Harris “earned” the nomination through “her grit, through her politics,” and through “every bit of hard work.”

“Especially as women, particularly women of color, you have to scrap every single moment until the very end… and she (Harris) did that tonight,” added AOC.

Biden selected Harris as his Vice President in the first place to fulfill his “commitment” of choosing a woman “preferably” of color. The DNC quickly switched her in as their candidate without any primary vote.

So much for “democracy.”
