The owner of the Cibolo Creek Ranch, John Poindexter, described the scene after finding the body of United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Poindexter told the San Antonio Express-News, “We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled.”

As reported by the Washington Post, hours after Scalia’s death, authorities finally found a judge to declare Scalia dead. The only problem is that Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara never saw the body, and she declared that Scalia had died of “natural causes” after a description of the scene from law enforcement officials…over the phone!

The judge for the second precinct of Presidio County, Juanita Bishop, commented that she would have ordered an autopsy.

“If it had been me . . . I would want to know,” said Bishop.

Nonetheless, Scalia’s family has said publicly that they will not order an autopsy.
