The July 30th edition of TIME magazine will feature a photoshopped picture of President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin fused as one person.

The cover's title? “The Summit Crisis.”

The Time cover is meant to be a jab at President Trump for comments he made at the Helsinki summit with Putin, particularly for this statement:

“I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today.”

Trump has been the subject of many disapproving media stories with regard to his conduct at the summit. The New York Times, Fox News, and the Washington Post all had negative things to say about his performance at the Helsinki summit.

Time's announcement of the new cover criticized Trump for more than the summit. “Whatever the President’s rationale, his equivocation in Helsinki paralleled on the international stage his controversial statements in defense of white nationalists in August 2017,” the article reads.

The piece also mentions Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, and how he has “eroded European leaders’ faith in America’s ability to live up to its international obligations.”

Time magazine has had quite the fascination with President Trump with six of the 26 covers this year alone directly picturing Trump and 5 more directly referencing Trump and his administration.
