Rob Gronkoswki was two things in his NFL career -- a nearly unstoppable tight end for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a party animal who loved having fun and didn’t take life too seriously (the latter of which hasn’t changed).

But one thing we didn’t know about "Gronk" was that he apparently has a fair amount of common sense, at least when it comes to the transgenders in women’s sports issue.

The future Hall-of-Famer was visiting the Capitol on Tuesday when a reporter from the Daily Caller approached Gronkowski and asked him if he thought it was right for transgender women (biological men) to compete in women’s sports.

His response was delivered in typical "Gronk" fashion, with a goofy smile and willingness to speak his mind. But, Gronkowski didn't need to say a word in this instance to convey his answer.

The guy who once said “Yo soy fiesta” can now say “Yo soy verdad” (truth).

Imagine if Gronkowski decided he wanted to identify as a woman just so he could play in the Women’s Football Alliance (WAF, don’t feel bad if you didn’t know that was a thing). How do you think it would go for the women in that league if a guy who’s 6’6” and 265 lbs. went up against women?

It’s the same story regardless of what sport or level of competition this happens. Men will always beat at least a majority of the women who they compete against, no matter how many hormone suppressants or surface-level changes they make to their bodies.

If a lighthearted guy like "Gronk" can see that, the rest of America should as well.
